Playful Potter Birthday Party Contract
When you pay a deposit for your party, you affirm that you have read and fully understand and agree to abide by our contract.
1. All parties have a minimum of 6 attendees. If attendance falls short of these minimums, the party host will still be charged for the minimum. Drop-offs are encouraged for all parties. Drop-offs are required for parties of 15 or more children. Birthday party host/responsible party is required to remain at Playful Potter for the duration of the party and is responsible for all attendees.
2. Please, no more than 4 non-painting adults per package due to limited studio space. We reserve the right to charge a $5 seat charge per non-painter. For parties of children under 5, we will allow 2 additional non-painting adults at no charge if the party occurs Monday—Thursday. Adults who paint their own pieces, are welcome to stay and will receive a $2 discount off their studio fee. (May not be combined with any other disount or special. Management reserves all rights.)
3. van Gogh Party Package (16+tax per painter) includes up to one and a half hours in our party area (outside or inside)—approximately the first hour is painting and the rest of the party time is for presents. This package includes one piece of pottery off our van Gogh party shelf per child, all paints, supplies, instructions, glazing and firing.
4. Picasso Party Package ($22+tax per painter) includes up to 2 hours in our party area (outside or inside)—approximately the first hour is painting and the second is for ice cream, drinks and presents. This package includes one piece of pottery off our Picasso or van Gogh party shelves per child, all paints, supplies, instructions, glazing and firing. Party fee also includes a capri sun (flavors vary) and one ice cream cup per child (party host chooses between vanilla, strawberry and chocolate—one flavor per package.) Ice cream and drinks for non-painters can be purchased for an additional fee.
5. Glass Party Package ($18+tax per artist) includes up to one and a half hours in our party area (inside only)--approximately the first 45-60 minutes is for glass and the rest of the party time is for presents. This package includes one glass piece, either a coaster or votive candle holder, per artist, all supplies, instructions and firing. This package is for artists ages 7 and up ONLY. If 1-2 attendees are not 7 or older, they may choose one piece of pottery to paint off our van Gogh party shelf to paint. They will be counted toward the 6 artist minimum. We currently allow a maximum of 12 artists for this package.
6. The pottery will be ready for pickup by the PARTY HOST ONLY 5-7 days after party (date will be specified on receipt.) We cannot be held responsible for breakage of items left over 4 weeks from the date of the party. Any items left over 30 days become the property of Playful Potter.
7. A $50 deposit is required to reserve a party date. Reservations will not be made without a deposit. The deposit is only refundable if party is canceled within 72 hours of scheduled date. The deposit will not be refunded for no-shows or cancellations made with fewer than 72 hours notice.
8. Party host assumes the risk of any breakage by guests. Children are required to remain in party area until picked up by parents or responsible party.
9. The party is contracted to begin and end at the times you specify when making your reservation. Please have your guests arrive and depart on time. Due to the nature of our studio and other birthday parties that may be going on, please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your party’s contracted start time. If your party runs past the agreed upon time, a charge of $6.00 per attendee (both painters and non-painters) will be added to the cost of the party fee for every half hour over scheduled end time along with a 15% clean up fee.
10. Guest of honor can receive a dinner plate personalized by all the guests. This plate is included in our Picasso Party Package. If you would like to add this plate to van Gogh or Glass Party Package, the cost is $15 + tax.
11. Please do not bring the following items into Playful Potter: confetti, glitter, noisemakers, piñatas, balls, silly string, etc. Please encourage children to use indoor voices since our party areas are open to the rest of the studio. If you are providing goodie bags for children, please distribute as children are leaving.
12. You are welcome to bring food to enjoy at your party. Please provide your own plates, cups, napkins and silverware. Additional fees will apply if Playful Potter supplies are used. Please ensure that all food is properly disposed of or removed at the end of your party.
13. Gratuity is not included but very appreciated by our hardworking staff.
